The opportunity

The Lyceum Kennedy French American School provides a bilingual, well-rounded education for its students from preschool through 12th grade. We pride ourselves on the strength of our faculty, the diversity of our student body, and our cultural richness. Through our individualized approach to instruction thanks to our small student-teacher ratio, students are encouraged to leverage their personal strengths and passions as they develop their language and academic knowledge.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources activities, policies, and programs for our organization. This is a key role that ensures the school's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations and contributes to creating a positive work environment for our faculty and staff members.

We are a small administrative team and thus the HR Manager position is the HR department.

 

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement human resources policies, procedures and practices that align with the school's mission, values, and strategic objectives

- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and reference checks

- Manage the onboarding and orientation process for new hires

- Coordinate employee benefits programs and ensure accurate and timely communication to staff

- Administer payroll and maintain accurate employee records

- Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers and employees regarding policies, procedures, and employment laws

- Manage performance management processes, including annual performance reviews and development plans

- Oversee leave management and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

- Stay up to date with changes in employment laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements

- Handle HR reporting and analytics, including tracking key HR metrics and producing regular reports

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management

- SHRM or HRCI certification mandatory

- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software

- Experience in payroll administration

- Ability to manage multiple priorities

Annual salary

The annual salary for this position ranges between $90,000 and $100,000, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
