Investment Analyst or Associate

We are looking to expand our early-stage investment team and are seeking an ambitious Investment Analyst or Associate to join our investment team in New York. The early-stage team invests in Pre-Seed, Seed, Series A companies.

About the Position

In this role, you will play an active role in supporting all aspects of deal sourcing, due diligence and deal execution. Developing critical thinking and nurturing domain knowledge will be instrumental in generating new investment thesis, building your network, and supporting portfolio companies and limited partners.

Role and responsibilities include:

• Source investment opportunities relevant to our thesis
• Perform financial due diligence including financial projections, financial analysis, valuation modeling, and scenario modeling
• Support commercial, technology and regulatory due diligence including: in depth market and competitive landscape analysis, product and technology review, and regulatory landscape and execution risks assessment
• Prepare summary materials, internal memos, and present investment recommendations in investment team meetings
• Extract and synthesize ongoing research and track relevant trends across financial services and adjacent industries
• Actively monitor and support portfolio companies
• Support senior members of the investment teams and Anthemis ecosystem team with key strategic projects including related to fundraising, Limited Partners engagement and portfolio engagement
• Provide support and additional capacity for the venture growth team for fundraising and portfolio company support.
• Responsible for internal processes including building portfolio models, managing deal pipeline & CRM, and portfolio management dashboard.
• Represent Anthemis at relevant industry conferences and events.

• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in investing, banking, consulting, or operating (preferably at the early or growth stage)
• Demonstrable understanding of, and interest in, technology and financial services
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and presenting, with comfort sharing and supporting opinions and positions.
• Solid financial analysis skills and comfort with financial modelling exercises in a fast-moving environment
• Enthusiasm for working with ambitious entrepreneurs and an ability to foster creativity, communication and synergies between partners and companies.
• High degree of integrity, intellectual curiosity and team-orientation, and low ego
• Thrives in and actively seeks out diverse and dynamic environments.

Annual Salary Range: $99,000 - $180,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
