H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking a Mailroom Clerk to support the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of New York. The Mailroom Clerk will complete copy projects onsite at the US Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, NY.
The Mailroom Clerk responsibilities will include:
- Daily manages sorting, collation, and delivery of incoming and outgoing mail to ensure timely distributions.
- Weighed mail to determine the correct postage.
- Recorded register mail.
- Prepared envelopes and packages as necessary.
- Signed for incoming registered or certified mail.
- Collected and prepared correspondence to be mailed (e.g. applying appropriate stamps, verifying addresses).
- Arranged for express delivery when needed.
- Assisted tracking of mailroom supplies.
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Qualifications / Certifications:
• Must be a United States Citizen
• 1-3 years experience managing and distributing mail within an organization as a mail clerk or office clerk, or in an administrative capacity supporting management and distribution of mail and packages.
• Well-organized with sharp attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds if required and must be able to traverse office facilities to distribute mail.
