At Proper Cloth, our mission is to continuously elevate the standards of men's fashion by innovating new ways to approach custom menswear that resonate with our customers. As a Manager of Business Operations Analytics, you will be crucial to achieving this goal by strategically analyzing our business operations to come up with ways to streamline our processes and identify opportunities for improvements.
The ideal candidate should be very comfortable with excel, spreadsheets and data tables. You should very analytical and make high quality decisions, solving problems by critically thinking about the validity of assumptions and paying attention to the details. You’ll need to be resourceful about using internal tools and data to develop models to explain your observations and suggestions in a logical and concise manner. You should pay attention to how changing operating circumstances affects operations functions and make plans in anticipation for potential adjustments.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize internal tools to track operations and supply chain data to ensure seamless operations
- Communicate operations and supply chain status updates with various stakeholders to help each team make appropriate adjustments to their processes
- Improve internal tools used to track operations and supply chain performance, and help to improve our internal models by coming up with necessary adjustments
- Examine opportunities to improve our supply chain set up to streamline downstream business operations
- Manage operations of supply chain set up to ensure accurate and smooth processing in manufacturing process
- Examine and keep track of supply chain changes, and anticipate changes and adjustments to be made to counter changing external factors
- Help us develop a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of the business and identify ways to take advantage of opportunities that arise as a result
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in business data analysis. Preferably with a degree in business analytics
- Comfortable working with data, building models in excel and spreadsheets to extract insights
- Curious about details with a knack for critical thinking and problem solving
- Strong sense of timing and urgency, able to prioritize and work around a calendar
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and insights effectively and logically
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a passion for continuous improvement
- Experience with SQL a plus
- Understanding of fashion industry and business operations such as buying and manufacturing processes a plus
