Our Properties
NeueHouse currently operates across three different, but equally iconic properties in New York City and Los Angeles:
- Our Madison Square (MSQ) House is situated in New York’s iconic Flatiron District, was previously home for Tepper Galleries, a well-known Manhattan auction house for international artists and collectors in the 1930s – and neighbors the 69th Regiment Armory where the first International Exhibition of Modern Art was held.
- Our Hollywood House (HWD), which sits on Sunset Boulevard, is one of LA’s most celebrated buildings and occupies the original CBS Studio (the world’s first structure built intentionally for broadcast). Here genre- defining artists from Orson Wells and Lucille Ball, to Janis Joplin, the Beach Boys, and Bob Dylan built their legacy.
- Our Venice Beach House (VB) was once the creative home to some of the most influential creative luminaries in art and entertainment including Hal Ashby, Oliver Stone, and David Hockney, NeueHouse Venice Beach is a new work, social, and cultural hub for the Venice creative community.
The Role
The Marketing Manager for NeueHouse Madison Square (MSQ) supports Marketing + Brand initiatives as defined by property leadership and unit leaders. Working within brand guidelines and any global marketing standards set by NeueHouse. The Manager can expect to support a variety of teams including programming, membership, food + beverage, etc. The Marketing Manager will report to the General Manager of MSQ.
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of broad marketing + brand experience, ideally integrated marketing experience focused on cultural, deeply editorial, creative, lifestyle, and/or experiential industries
- NeueHouse is open to a variety of educational, professional, and training backgrounds in support of the role
- Act as local marketing expert across NeueHouse Madison Square and serve as ambassador for the overarching brand guidelines, standards, and systems established by the NeueHouse
- Support the design, development, and delivery of a variety of comprehensive marketing communications including but not limited to email communication, member app/portal channels, web, and social, etc.
- Project manage the design and print of programming, membership, event, and other house-level collateral
- Build and send any weekly, monthly, acquisition, and/or ad-hoc newsletters and communications for the MSQ property with input and oversight from relevant contributors
- Partner with internal creative team, agencies and/or freelance talent to develop custom house-specific assets including touchpoints like share cards, flat invites, elevator boards, iPad screens, etc.
- Ensure digital screens, where applicable, have appropriate content and support local teams with creating content schedules within the screens, and maintaining updates on the assets for the screens
- Help to shape local MSQ content for both standing and marquee events, as well as brand content:
- Booking external photographers, videographers, and like talent
- Partnering with relevant teams to ensure we have local coverage for all marketing campaigns and content shoots.
- Suggesting content ideas in support of MSQ across all channels
- Build relationships and liaise with local members for content opportunities
- Support the communication and management of local marketing vendor management
- Ensure local marketing materials are always in stock and communicate needs for replenishment, updates, or other matters the property leadership
- The Manager should expect to support Splash pages for monthly programming and events in partnership with the local programming and/or events teams; though owned by these partners, there may be need for the Marketing Manager to support in any of the below, from time to time:
- Design of Splash pages, keeping these updated when and where there are relevant changes to events on property. The responsibility may flex as a shared responsibility with other teams (Programming or F+B, for example)
- Working with relevant teams like Member Experience, Programming, and F+B to manage guest lists for events, programming, and F+B activations
- Adding guest lists to Splash from partners, KO, C Suite etc.
- Sending communications from Splash to guests as needed, including thank you emails
- Responsible for pulling up-to-date member lists and triggering out automated drip programs for eventattendees in locale
- Building monthly event hubs for MSQ and adding these to the NeueHouse app, as needed
- Managing the NeueHouse App, specifically for MSQ-related content, which may include or expand on thebelow:
- Adding monthly events into the app o Adding perks into the app
- Sending push notifications
- With advice and guidance from marketing team leaders, support local institutions and partners to drive acquisition audiences in houses
- Support Membership Development with membership sales campaigns that touch multiple channels including email communications, LinkedIn posts, social posts, and creating functional assets for the team to use in their outreach
- Local sales & marketing reporting using internal platforms including but not limited to Sprout Social, Salesforce + Pardot, etc.
- Work cross-functionally across all property teams to drive brand awareness and a cohesive understanding of the many different events, activations, programs, etc. that NeueHouse is leading through marketing
- Deliver and provide input on global brand marketing strategy as it relates to the Madison Square property, including the identification of obstacles or bottlenecks which may impact the effectiveness of the local marketing function (and vice versa)
- The Marketing Manager for MSQ will be required to work frequently from property to ensure the timely support of the myriad events, activations and membership needs and may be required to work later evenings or weekends when content or event needs require
- Take on ad hoc tasks, as required by the MSQ house teams and broader business, as needed.
