Nursing Coordinator / Mobile Medication Unit - Bronx, NY (#2997)
Minimum of2 years experience as an RN, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Mobile Medication Unit Nursing Coordinator to fill an opening with a Residential Facility (FQHC) located in Bronx, New York
Responsibilities of the Nursing Coordinator:
- Provides nursing care that supports patients in treatment and recovery.
- Administers medication adhering to institutional policy/procedures and federal/state regulatory standards.
- Monitors the transfer of all controlled substances and supplies to and from the clinic/MMU.
- Maintains medication dispensing unit to ensure efficient and accurate dispensing.
- Assess patients for signs of altered mental status prior to dispensing medication and assess a patient for medication side effects.
- Communicates, as needed, with the prescribing professional.
- Provides health teaching and counseling to patients.
- Documents and maintains patient medical records adhering to organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for ordering, delivering, tracking, and monitoring all controlled substances.
- Responsible for ensuring all reports required by organizations and regulatory agencies are complete, accurate, secured, and readily available for review.
- In collaboration with the Director of Nursing, SUD Services, ensures adequate MMU nursing coverage.
- Makes recommendations on matters concerning the physical plant operations, workflow, and resources.
- Treats patients in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity, confidentiality, and patient rights.
- Performs any additional duties, tasks, and responsibilities that may be assigned, as needed.

Requirements
- Must have a current NYS RN License
- Must have a current NYS Infection Control Certificate and BCLS Completion Card
- Must have at least 2 years experience as an RN, preferably in a substance use disorder treatment program.
- Must have proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Office, Electronic Health Records, and Outlook programs).
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have the ability to interact with service recipients of diverse social, cultural, and economic groups.
- Must have the ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

- The salary for this position is $87,000 - $92,000 / yr
