Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a Physical Therapist to fill an opening with a community health network located in Brooklyn, New York.
Schedule of the Physical Therapist:
- This is a Full-time or a Part-time position
- 20 - 30 hrs / week (Part-time)
- Hours will vary depending on business needs
- Should be very flexible with their schedule
Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist:
- Meets the patient’s goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results determining physical therapy treatments.
- Helps patients accomplish treatment plans and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises, instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as nonmanual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities, and in using assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses.
- Administers physical therapy treatments by giving massages, initiating traction, applying physical agents, and moist packs.
- Evaluate effects of physical therapy treatments and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and evaluating patient progress, recommending adjustments and modifications.
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan by designing home exercise programs.
- Documents patient care services by charting patient and department records. Employees Initials
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, a Doctorate is preferred
- Must have an active NYS License
- Must be Board Certified
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records are preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand, and kneel to provide patient assessment/examinations.
Benefits
- The salary for this position is $104,000 - $156,000 / yr for full-time OR $55 - $75 / hr (depending on experience) for Part-time
