As a Production Cost Estimator Engineer you will be a key member of our sales or project management department, responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for production projects. Working closely with our sales, project management, and engineering teams, you will analyze bid documents, specifications, and design drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates, including materials, labor, and fabrication, as well as obtaining vendor quotes when necessary. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability for the company. Key Responsibilities:

• Review project requirements, bid documents, technical specifications, and design drawings to develop accurate cost estimates for production projects.
• Collaborate with clients, sales, design, and production teams to understand project scope and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Support graphics team by providing necessary information to create drawings for customers and in-house production, ensuring all design specifications are met.
• Research and source materials, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Analyze in-house production processes, labor requirements, and timelines to determine project feasibility and cost.
• Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates, RFQs, and RFIs to support project bidding and sales processes.
• Continuously improve estimating processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in production estimation, preferably in the signage industry or a closely related field
• Strong understanding of production processes, labor and materials used in signage manufacturing
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications, with strong visualization skills.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
• Experience in roles that required a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong understanding of how design influences brand identity and user experience.
