Purchasing Order Clerk

Job Title: Purchasing Clerk

Position Summary:  

The Purchasing Clerk will be responsible for managing the procurement of footwear inventory, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of products. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services.
  2. Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
  3. Periodically source new footwear styles from suppliers
  4. Cross check pricing between suppliers to ensure best pricing
  5. Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and make recommendations to ensure optimal stock levels.
  6. Place orders and schedule deliveries to maintain an efficient supply chain.
  7. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and inventory transactions. 
  9. Prepare reports on purchasing activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  10. Work closely with the sales team to meet customer demands and forecast future footwear needs.
  11. Coordinate with the warehouse team for efficient receipt and storage of incoming footwear.
  12. Input and manage purchase order data in the company’s inventory management system. 
  13. Ensure data accuracy and integrity for all purchasing and inventory records.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  1. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
  2. Proven experience as a Purchasing Clerk or in a similar role within the footwear or fashion industry.
  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
