About the role:
We are seeking a Quantitative Researcher to work directly with a Portfolio Manager focused on Commodities. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and solve complex problems.
Responsibilities:
- Work very closely with the Portfolio Manager.
- Manage and populate proprietary datasets and features.
- Build and maintain day-to-day processes predominantly in Python.
- Develop analytic and investment tools and visuals.
- Support the research and development of investment strategies and execution.
- Research new ideas relating to commodities, their fundamentals, and the markets.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional financial markets experience including over 2 years of experience at a single firm.
- A high GPA in a quantitative field from a top-tier university.
- Great programming skills including Python as well as Java, C++, C#, C, Rust, or similar
- Great understanding of time-series analysis, probability, and statistics.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Linux.
- Knowledge of commodities and their fundamentals is a plus.
- Experience working with strategy development is preferred.
- Ability to handle parallel work streams and produce quality solutions very quickly.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Independent thought and creativity.
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Display and operate at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.

Benefits
The base pay range for this role is between $120,000 and $150,000 annually. Actual base pay will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant experience, business needs, and market demands. In addition to the base pay, successful candidates will have the opportunity to receive an annual bonus.
