Girls Who Invest (GWI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the investment management industry by attracting and advancing women and non-binary investors, change-makers, and leaders. To date, GWI has reached more than 2,500 people in just eight years, and of our alumni working full-time, 70% have stayed in the industry.
GWI does this through tuition-free education programs for first and second-year college students. Beyond our programs, GWI provides career advisory services, community building, and support for our alumni at all stages in their careers, with a focus on long-term professional development, retention, and advancement.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Recruiting & Admissions Seasonal Coordinator will report to the Interim Director of Recruiting and Admissions and will provide administrative and logistical support during the peak recruitment and selection season for Girls Who Invest Programs.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting for GWI Programs
- Day-to-day application inbox management including responding to prospective applicant questions in a timely manner and processing application documents through Slate Inbox
- Lead virtual information sessions and related virtual programming for prospective scholar audiences regularly and as needed during the recruitment season
- Coordinate logistics of Campus Alumni Ambassador Program during fall recruitment season including gift card allocation, scheduling trainings, support communication with alumni volunteers, and updating recruitment materials as needed
- Support communications and digital outreach including development of promotional materials such as GWI Programs flyers, information session videos, and other digital assets
- Support with prospect and applicant communications campaigns including social media efforts as needed
- Recruitment-related administrative tasks including event creation, event promotion, in-person event registration, and team operations on external job platforms (e.g. Handshake, Symplicity, etc.)
- Support yield efforts for priority populations as needed including telephone calls and emails for targeted admitted scholar populations
- Other projects and duties as assigned
GWI Programs Selection
- Review applications for GWI Programs during the application reading season for GWI’s flagship programs in both Early Action and Regular Decision admissions cycle. The estimated number of applications is cycle-dependent and subject to change.
- Support admissions operations in application platform including application completion, outreach to prospective Scholars, applicant database hygiene, and other administrative and technical support as assigned
- Assist with data cleaning and scraping of information for GWI’s database to produce more effective targeted outreach efforts
- Other duties throughout recruitment and reading cycle as assigned including participating in selection committees, supporting seasonal readers, and document processing prior to, during, and after admissions cycles
- Participate in selection processes including final selection committees and other selection activities as needed to finalize scholar classes

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Professional Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred one (1) – three (3) years of recent equity-focused recruiting and selective admissions experience
- Strong comprehensive evaluation and assessment techniques with proven track record of reviewing large volume of applications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; strong public speaking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work tasks
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience and proficiency in Slate is preferred

- Ability to work both independently and without close oversight, but also function as a team player who will take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently within a defined timeline and adhere to project deadlines

COMPENSATION
Current compensation offered: $6,000 per full month worked. As a seasonal temporary employee, this role is not eligible to participate in employee benefits with the exception of sick leave.
