POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the supervision of all technical investigations related to the performance of the New Flyer fleet in NYC. Tracks fleet reliability via MDBF analysis and liaises with New Flyer Technical Services and suppliers to deliver solutions to improve performance. Ensures technical issues are resolved quickly. Establishes and manages a strong, successful customer relationship with NYCT/MTA at the division level that ensures New Flyer successfully receives awards for future orders.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Understands and uses the New Flyer core values when working inside and outside the New Flyer organization.
- Understands and follow Respectful Workplace rules.
- Follow all applicable laws, arrive for assignments on time and follow all New Flyer travel policies.
- Coordinate field investigations and manage workload of Field Technical Specialist team, including special projects
- Develop and maintain Reliability reports and present monthly to the customer and internally
- Develop and maintain a detailed technical issue log for all active technical issues in the NYC fleet and review weekly with New Flyer and the customer
- Analyze MDBF data to identify opportunities to improve reliability and perform cost/benefit analysis to recommend improvements via field campaigns and/or continuous improvement
- Liaise with New Flyer Technical Services, Engineering, and suppliers to report field issues affecting reliability and develop solutions
- Travel to work site locations as required to oversee, understand, and support investigations
- Report all issues affecting New Flyer product or business to the NYC Service Manager.
- Review iBus website regularly.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Daily commute to Jamaica, New York is required
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Degree in Business, Management, or Engineering
- 5 years work experience or equivalent
- Some leadership experience
- Inventory management experience
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Technical Skills (Coach or Bus Experience)

Annual Salary Range:
$85,000 - $95,000
