Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Remediation Project Field Superintendent for our Environmental Construction Department. Duties of this full time position include leading field teams conducting various environmental clean-up activities including underground storage tank removals, contaminated soil excavations, installation of remediation systems, bio-remediation, site restoration, and small demolitions.
Duties
- On-site management of day to day operations on remediation projects
- Ensure projects adhere to scope of work and schedule
- Coordinate mobilization/delivery of equipment and materials
- Prepare daily reports for field activities
- Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with company health and safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist Project Managers in development of scope of work, cost estimates and work flow
- Assist in training junior staff
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental contracting with at least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Ability to interact directly with clients and regulatory agencies in a professional manner
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A clean, valid driver license. Commercial Driver License (CDL) not required but a plus
- Must be willing to travel
- 40 Hour HAZWOER training
- Knowledgeable in OSHA and DOT regulations
- Microsoft Office proficient
- OSHA 10 Hour construction safety training
- OSHA 30 Hour construction safety training a plus
- Experience with NYSDEC standby contracts a plus
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Discipline a plus
Salary Range: $30 - $40 per hour
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
