Full Job Description
This role has a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days a week in the NYC office (Tuesday-Thursday).
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States or Canada. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of any employment-based visas at this time.
Energy storage is the key to unlocking a future where our world is powered by renewable resources. At Convergent Energy and Power, our mission is to make the electrical grid cleaner, more reliable, and less expensive by leveraging state-of-the-art energy storage and distributed generation technologies.
To achieve the global transition to renewable energy over the coming decades, millions of new experienced professionals will be needed. Our entry-level Rotation Analyst program provides opportunities for recent graduates to enter the renewables sector and contribute immediately to projects across Convergent while acquiring industry knowledge and skills as the foundation for a career in the industry.
In this program, each Rotation Analyst will be assigned a "sponsor team" where at least half of the time and effort will be spent. With their remaining availability, RA's serve as internal consultants, picking up “rotating” projects and assignments from a variety of groups and managers. The overall goal for RAs is to emerge from this program with a broad understanding of Convergent’s business and the wider industry as well as deeper skills that align each analyst’s interests and talents with the needs of Convergent, tracking into their next career move in the company. Over the program duration, analysts might work in a variety of areas including supporting steel-in-ground project management, running a marketing and sales campaign, performing real-time asset operations, modeling the finances of a potential project, analyzing a potential asset acquisition and much more!
Analysts will be placed with their Sponsor assignment after the interviewing process, where background and interests will be matched with each Sponsor Manager and business need. Our target start date will be Summer 2024.
We have one slot left for the Analytics group at this time.
Analytics
The RA will support several analytical scopes of work to achieve Convergent’s strategic and business development goals. This includes project financial analysis, energy markets analysis, new opportunity evaluation, and asset modeling and simulation. RA candidates serving this role will build a firm understanding of how renewable energy technologies generate market revenue and how to utilize financial models to assess the viability of renewable projects.
