Full Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate esthetician or massage therapist for the role of Scrub Therapist to join the 154 Spa team within our brand new spa at members club SAA where the traditional spa amenities are located on the top floor providing incredible views of Manhattan. You will be responsible for providing exceptional scrub and hammam treatments to our guests, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and care. This role requires expertise in various scrub and wet spa treatment techniques and strong attention to detail to provide a personalized services.
The ideal candidate will quickly be able to adapt to the brand, values, and culture of the company, evoking passion and excitement for the process in all involved while providing an upbeat and positive client and team experience. Because we are a small team, we all wear many hats and are happy to roll up our sleeves and lend a hand whenever needed. Responsibilities:
Perform Scrub and Hammam Treatments: Administer a variety of scrub treatments including traditional body scrubs, sugar scrubs, hammam and other exfoliation techniques to exfoliate and revitalize the skin.
Customization: Tailor treatments to meet the individual needs and preferences of each client, taking into account their skin type, concerns, and desired outcomes.
Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their skincare needs, answer questions, and recommend appropriate treatments and home care regimens.
Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure spa amenities and equipment are kept clean, sanitized, and well-organized according to spa standards.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest skincare trends, products, and techniques to provide informed recommendations to clients and promote retail sales.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service at all times, ensuring clients feel welcomed, comfortable, and valued throughout their spa experience.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other spa team members including massage therapists, estheticians, and reception staff to ensure seamless coordination of services and a positive overall client experience.
Documentation: Maintain accurate client records, treatment notes, and product usage logs in compliance with spa policies and regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a scrub therapist or similar role in a spa or wellness setting.
Licensed as a massage therapist or esthetician.
Passionate about scrub cultures and natural ingredients.
Strong knowledge of skincare products, ingredients, and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to customize treatments based on individual client needs and preferences.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed..

salary: $20ph plus commission
