Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and compliant with GAAP standards.
- Timely Financial Reporting: Ensure all financial data is reported accurately and on time, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and transparency.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the management of the general ledger, including the supervision of journal entries and reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
- Budget Monitoring: Analyze and report on variances between budgeted and actual financial performance, providing insights that drive business decisions.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring that payments are made and collections are received in a timely manner.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash balances and forecast future cash needs to effectively manage the company’s cash flow.
- Account Reconciliations: Review and approve reconciliations for key accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with financial goals.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring they align with physical inventory counts and provide analysis related to inventory turnover, shrinkage, and obsolescence.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring a collaborative and productive working environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in managing general ledger functions and financial statement preparation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify financial trends and provide actionable recommendations.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
