Senior Accounting Supervisor

R2Net Inc. is an innovative technology company that provides e-commerce and supply chain platforms to connect the entire span of the diamond industry’s ecosystem, including manufacturers, retailers and consumers. R2Net oversees the brands of JamesAllen.com and Blue Nile which consists of certified diamonds, engagement rings and fine jewelry. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Accounting Team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Accounting Supervisor is a critical member of the accounting team and an integral part of the reporting of the financial statements. The main responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit requests, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. This individual is an analytical problem solver, self-starter, and has the ability to work with cross-departmental teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the month-end/year-end close process
• Maintain and perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP, such as prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and accrued expenses
• Assist in day to day accounting and ad hock tasks as needed
• Manage and process sales taxes and affiliates payments
• Prepare and analyze financial reports and investigate reporting discrepancies in an effective and timely manner
• Support the business processes by partnering with other teams such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Inventory, Operations, and Marketing and effectively communicate with all levels of management
• Assist in the development and maintenance of internal control documentation in compliance with SOX
• Assist with internal and external audit requests

• Manage timelines, milestones, and comfortable pivoting when necessary

Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting is required; CPA certification is a plus

• 4 or more years of experience in a relevant field - experience in a consumer products and/or e-commerce company is a plus
• Big 4 or national firm Public Accounting experience
• Proficient in Excel (can perform complex functions, etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and technical skills of US GAAP

Base pay $105,000 - $120,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
