The Opportunity

The Social Media Intern will be an important contributor to YJP’s social media marketing and content team. The Social Media Intern will focus on collecting content from live events and brainstorming new content ideas. The Social Media Intern will collaborate with the social media marketing team, the Programs team, and the Membership team. The Social Media Intern will work on-site, primarily at events on weeknight evenings, for 5-8 hours per week. This is a paid internship. YJP’s office and events are located in Manhattan.  

What You Will Do

  • Collect photo and video content at live events
  • Interview participants at live events on video 
  • Brainstorm ideas for new content and suggest to the social media marketing team
  • Review footage from virtual events and select clips for social media
  • Review content library and make suggestions on content to repurpose 
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

About You

  • Comfortable with iPhone photography and videography
  • Interested in social media marketing
  • Passionate about content creation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exhibits a professional attitude and demeanor at all times
  • Positive, can-do attitude

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing and/or graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, preferably with a focus in marketing, communications, public relations, or another relevant field. 
  • Prior experience with social media content creation and/or photography/videography is preferred 
  • Familiarity with the Jewish calendar and traditions and/or willingness to learn
