Position Summary
We are currently seeking a consultant to lead the development of a strategic plan for CHS. The successful individual/organization will have expertise and experience in developing strategic plans for non-profit organizations, project management skills, strategic thinking savvy, the ability to analyze data for trends, and communication skills to interact with a broad stakeholder group in gathering data for the strategic plan. This person will work with senior leadership and an advisory group made up of hydrogen subject matter experts.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Executive Director of CHS and the Senior Director of AIChE’s Industry Technology Groups, the consultant will perform the following work:
- Develop aggressive timeline for development of a 3-year strategic plan
- Develop and implement a path forward for gathering data, analyzing data, drafting a strategic plan, and identifying annual KPIs that align with the strategic plan
- Meet with the CHS Strategic Plan Advisory group on a regular cadence for two-way communication and feedback on the plan
- Hold focus groups and interviews to gather data on the global hydrogen market
- Work with the Advisory Group to perform PESTLE and SWOT analyses
- Analyze data and identify trends
- Translate research and analysis into an implementable strategic plan
Deliverables
· A strategic plan for CHS that includes the following:
- CHS’ vision
- CHS’ mission statement
- CHS’ goals
- A plan of action to achieve the goals
- The approach to achieving the goals
- Tactics to achieve the goals
Skills
- Knowledgeable and proficient in strategy development
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into a strategy
- Demonstrated experience working with subject matter experts, volunteers, faculty, and management
Requirements
Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience developing strategic plans for non-profits
- Experience working with subject matter experts, volunteers, faculty, and management
- List of previous clients and sample strategic plans developed
