Who You Are:
Museum of Ice Cream is seeking a Strategic Recruiter - Hospitality & Operations that is adept at recruiting databases and social platforms, has strong search and skill translation capabilities, as well as verbal and written communication skills. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in building the hospitality and operations teams by supporting the Recruiting process and Talent Acquisition Manager. Your proactive approach, skills, initiative, and innovative sourcing plans will contribute to the success of our company’s growth and talent acquisition efforts.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Provide sourcing and recruitment support across the Museum Operations hiring portfolio, including hourly and salaried roles across US site locations.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to determine position requirements and align intake to a sourcing plan with the TA Manager.
- Actively source hospitality and operations talent for both new and existing sites, covering facilities, food and beverage, guest experience, and management functions.
- Conduct initial screenings and verify candidate qualifications before recommending them for further stages.
- Utilize diverse channels to actively seek potential candidates, including referrals, programmatic advertising, social media, and Boolean searches.
- Promote our employer brand online and offline by contributing ideas and demonstrating proactivity.
- Craft, send, and respond to recruitment emails, engaging with potential candidates on social and professional networks.
- Manage candidate assessments and handle candidate correspondence during the initial stages of the recruitment process.
- Collaborate with our talent coordinator to ensure smooth communication among hiring managers, including calibrations, intakes, and interview reminders, from initial to mid-stages of the hiring process.
- Own and update site hiring documents, ensuring accuracy throughout the candidate and/or recruitment lifecycle, including audition trackers, values-based interview questions, and new hire forms.
- Develop and cultivate talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
- Maintain accurate candidate data and recruitment files in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Provide regular updates to the TA Manager with Talent Acquisition data & analytics.
- Offer general administrative support, such as preparing meeting materials and interview notes.
- Measure conversion rates, including the numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, receive offers, and get hired.
The hourly rate for this role is $35-45 depending on experience with an expectation of 35-40 hours of work per week.
Requirements
The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing within the hospitality / F&B operations industry, specifically with physical in-person units.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing sourcing techniques and alternative methods for candidate search.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (e.g., Workable) and various recruiting platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Glassdoor, Indeed).
- High organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with hospitality recruitment processes and terminology.
- Ability to work from 9am - 5pm EST and comfortable with up to 15% travel.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, handle confidential information with discretion, and contribute innovative ideas.
