Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement and Purchase Order Management:
    • Create and process purchase orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and factories to confirm order details, pricing, and delivery schedules.
    • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
    • Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers when necessary.
    • Maintain detailed records of all procurement activities.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking product movements and stock levels.
    • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient inventory flow.
    • Perform regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Quality Control Coordination:
    • Arrange quality control inspections with factories to ensure products meet company standards.
    • Communicate quality requirements and standards to suppliers and manufacturing partners.
    • Address any quality issues promptly and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
    • Document and report on quality control findings.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with operations, logistics, production and planning team members to align inventory levels with business needs.
    • Provide timely updates on inventory status and potential supply issues.
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in procurement and inventory management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain coordination.
  • Proven experience in creating and managing purchase orders. Experience in Cin7 is a plus.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and coordinating inspections with factories.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with inventory management or ERP software is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Skills:

  • Purchase Order Management:
    • Using best practices to place purchase orders, ensure BOMs are kept up to date and reflect fully landed costs, and maintain clean data and systems.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Ability to reconcile inventory and suggest improvements to related processes
  • Quality Control Coordination:
    • Experience arranging and overseeing product inspections.
    • Understanding of quality assurance standards.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Competent in using inventory management systems and software.
    • Strong Excel skills, including data entry and basic formulas.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
    • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
