Full Job Description

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill both a Junior and Senior Survey CAD Technician position in our Rochester, NY office.

LaBella fosters a team-oriented atmosphere and emphasizes unparalleled client services. As a Survey CAD Technician, you will play a key role with the execution of survey assignments related to topographic and boundary surveying, ALTA/ASCM land title surveys, construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR and UAV/drone surveys and structure monitoring in support of land surveying, civil engineering, architectural and environmental projects. You will provide analytical review of survey data, quality assurance and quality control of client deliverables. Stated compensation is based on non-licensed professionals and can be increased for the right candidate. If you are a PLS who is a highly skilled CAD operator, we encourage you to apply as well.

Duties

  • Develop CAD drawings for Boundary, Topographical, and Subdivision projects.
  • Review and understand construction drawing sets for stakeout work.
  • Interpretation of notes and redlines.
  • Manipulation of CADD models
  • Adherence to Company and/or Client drawing standards
  • Interpersonal skills (strong communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, organization)
  • Ensuring document quality, consistency, and production efficiency.

Requirements

  • CAD/Drafting related Certificate Program or associate degree in design technology a plus.
  • Strong Autodesk Civil 3D, Carlson, and MS Office Suite.
  • Survey data post processing software skills a plus.
  • Knowledge with Bentley products such as MicroStation and OpenRoads a plus.
  • 1 to 5+ years of drafting experience.
  • 3D Modeling experience a plus.
  • Trimble Business Center experience a plus.
