About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as our VP of Product. This is a critical role and will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO). You will be responsible for managing and leading our Product Management, User Experience and Business Intelligence teams.
As VP of product you will have a near-obsessive desire to solve the customer’s problems. You will provide thought leadership and direction that drives customer experience and achieves our business objectives. You will develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our digital products by building an industry leading experience for our customers to achieve their respective goals. These digital products will be innovative, reliable, and scalable. They should support our competitive edge and enable us to expand into new verticals.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Product Development and Customer Experience
· Lead the development of our B2B digital products and product-led growth initiatives. Ensure that these products are scalable and easily usable for our clients (and where needed, within their systems), providing maximum value for the users.
· Identify data products that solve complex supply chain business challenges at scale
· Conduct comprehensive market analysis and competitive assessments to identify market gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities for differentiation, thereby developing a strong understanding of customer needs and trends and shaping the product strategy.
· Shift the company's mindset towards customer-centricity by understanding client needs and pain points and developing products that directly address these requirements. Leading the transition from a sales-driven model to a strong product-led growth strategy.
· Develop a strong understanding of the customer journey, testing programs, and supply chain ecosystem
· Develop a strong understanding of how our customers use data to make decisions
· Well-versed in a variety of technologies and platforms that optimize our products
· Define, monitor, and track OKRs and health metrics and develop concrete point of view on insights to present to leadership
· Apply the principles of research and analysis to gain valuable insights into Oritain’s target market to continuously evolve our product development strategies and deliver improved customer experience
· Prioritize and drive actionable and implementable strategies that produce tangible results, based upon relationship insight, competitive positioning, and industry research.
· Collaborate with Customers, C-Suite, Delivery Ops, Marketing, Finance, OGS, Platform, Sales, to create an annual, company-wide product roadmap that delivers on the company’s OKRs.
· Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to communicate the value proposition of the product to our teams and clients.
Oritain-as-a-Service/SaaS/DaaS, Product Led Experience (including agile and product mgmt. frameworks)
· Well versed in SaaS/DaaS models to support B2B Product development
· Contribute to the subscription model rollout including pricing and packaging
· Keep up with the fast pace of the industry
· Identify customer needs, understand their problems, and make data-driven decisions to improve customer experience. Overall, ensure customer activation, conversion, and retention through maximum satisfaction
· Understand the buyer persona experience
· Analyze existing products’ function & determine new features & requirements to enhance our customers’ user experience & ensure maximum potential usability
· Adept at interpreting and maintaining timely qualitative and quantitative reports on product performance.
· Maintain the company-wide product roadmap, and clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes throughout the company.
· Work with Product, Platform, and Design teams to optimize a process to build, test, and ship product experiments in a fast-paced environment.
· Work with cross-functional teams to get buy-in/approval/guidance, including lines of business such as Operations, Legal, IT Ops.
· Guide the creative brief and Design to ensure an intuitive and delightful UI/UX.
· Drive the teams to understand the wider market opportunities and envision future commercially viable product features that support underserved user needs.
· Manage the product management life cycle
· Ensure Agile is adopted across all digital product teams.
· Establish data-lead decision making as a practice within the product teams.
Team Leadership, Product Culture and Development
· Be an evangelist for our product
· Ensure high-level performance of the product team
· Ensure the smooth development of great products that deliver value to customers, and in turn, the organization.
· Recruit and lead a team of high performing Product Managers, Business Analysts, UX and BI, helping to develop their craft and career paths.
· Continuously improve our team’s impact and productivity, building a culture of excellence.
· Coach team members and level-up as necessary.
Requirements
· At least 15 years equivalent experience managing product teams supporting multiple products.
· Can demonstrate the ability to make appropriate tradeoffs in a timely manner to optimize time-to-market.
· Is highly collaborative and ability to develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals.
· Able to effectively balance the competing demands of innovation, quality, architectural/operational improvements & customer feedback.
· Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis
. Significant experience in agile project management, with experience applying Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
· Ability to set budgets that utilize minimum resources and deliver maximum product potential
· Experience in scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning for new products
· Demonstrable prior experience aligning product roadmaps with other Company initiatives to ensure that the company achieves its objectives (OKRs).
· Hands-on experience leading large-scale buildouts of global applications.
· Willingness to lead from the front by example, and able to operate in a small, growing business that requires further professionalism
· Resilience and determination to succeed under pressure; evidence of succeeding in a high profile and high-pressured role.
