About the role:
The VP of Sales will be directly responsible for developing new key strategic partnerships and expanding our business-to-business (B2B) distribution channels. The ability to research, identify, pitch and close new business deals coupled with strong analytical and account management skills is required.
The VP of Sales must be experienced in sales and possess great communication skills and convincing analytical abilities to close deals with prospects of strategic importance. VP of Sales will be required to develop effective relationships and partnerships externally to drive new business activities, and to execute effectively internally and cross functionally with marketing, sales, product management, engineering, and other shared services of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Proactive and business development-oriented leader than can develop, deploy, and lead a best of class business solution that can unlock the full market potential of our suite of products and solutions nationally.
- Develop and maintain relationships within the C-suite and to other senior executives at health insurance companies and other large partner opportunities, associations, employers, and any other partners looking to make health insurance products available to their customers (members).
- Create strategic business partnerships and drive new revenue for the organization while actively growing and managing your own sales pipeline.
- Oversee and implement full sales cycle, including market research, needs analysis, pitch, closing, renewal, and upsell.
- Establish and achieve sales goals, metrics, and milestones and track and report on progress and success.
- Write proposals for new clients.
- Collaborate across departments within the organization to provide specific healthcare expertise and relevant experience into the product and services portfolio and strategic planning process as needed.
- Partner closely with the finance department to ensure the creation of accurate ongoing budget allocations for the department.
- Work closely with the EVP and other key stakeholders in formulating and approving various marketing strategies, approaches, and campaigns prior to their launch.
- Occasional business travel may be required
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree in a related field required. Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in business development and account management, with a strong focus on affiliate partner relationships.
- Experience selling into Health Plans or Health Systems
- Experience with commercial solutions including ACA, Medicare, and Medicaid products and services, ancillary products
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google AdWords and Analytics, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter Ads, WordPress, Salesforce, and Adobe Campaign
- Comfort in health insurance products.
- Experience and connections to associations, employers, and agencies.
- Exceptional sales leadership skills and strong negotiation skills are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently manage numerous high priority projects at the same time.
- Comfort making decisions and executing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Salary - $135,000 - $165,000 with potential of on target earnings of $300,000 plus
