Full Job Description
Direct and administer all maintenance and engineering activities pertaining to plant production and supportive equipment including preventative maintenance, machinery modifications, equipment repairs, new construction and plant utilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide guidance and direct supervision to maintenance personnel.
- Prepare projects, cost estimates, drawings for facility and equipment projects within the scope of engineering and company policies.
- Assure preventive maintenance and repairs on all production equipment, support equipment, and facilities are done in a timely manner.
- Track performance indicators, develop corrective actions, and present progress to the management group.
- Maintain and operate all utilities such as steam, power, water, and wastewater treatment.
- Maintain and improve the upkeep of the physical plant and grounds.
- Coordinate activities of all contractors as pertains to plant projects and maintenance functions.
- Install, relocate, and modify production and support equipment as required.
- Maintain plant security and fire protection systems.
- Actively participate in safety, health and E.P.A. programs at the plant.
- Develop or arrange for the development of training and manpower development programs.
- Training required by other agencies- Hazardous Waste, Spill Prevention and Control, Hazard Communication, etc.
Requirements
5-7 years of experience.
Four-year High School Plus specialized training (up to 1 year) OR Broad technical training (high school plus 1 to 3 years apprenticeship) OR
Extensive professional, technical or administrative training (4) year degree
