Archimedes Global is currently recruiting an Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Elizabeth City, NC. We’re looking for a team-oriented individual who has the ability to collaborate with customers and teammates to achieve core client objectives on a daily basis.
Requirements
The selected individual will:
- Conduct detailed studies, research, procurement activities, and analysis to evaluate, integrate, and improve productivity of acquisition-related activities
- Host IPT’s and ensure schedules are being followed and followed up with
- Draft preliminary LMS schedules based on data collected
- Conduct market research for cost, schedule, and performance related to systems or components
- Identify and develop methods, plans, and documentation to streamline operating procedures, reports and systems to improve operations, achieve savings, and encourage long-range planning to assure the acquisition activities are integrated with the sustainment activities for system design, development, integration, deployment, testing, and training in a cost-effective manner
- Support air station transition activities as required to ensure minimal disruption to fleet operations
- Transition supply requirements (p/n priority, timing, & quantity) to procurement documentation that is ready for funds obligation, then track the resultant order to receipt at the warehouse or operational unit
- Perform day to day material management with a focus on ordering, tracking, receiving, stocking, redistribution, and shipping to optimize phased transition milestones
- Conduct analysis of supply chain effectiveness and efficiency
- Develop PowerPoint presentations
- Conduct/query analysis on large data sets (excel, access, oracle, or similar USCG systems)
- Produce Simplified Acquisition Packages for acquisition teams
- Perform data entry and activity logging on SharePoint
- Manage acquisition logistics projects from need stage through delivery into sustainment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience required (5yrs of experience may be used in lieu of degree)
- Knowledge of Coast Guard procedures (USCG aeronautical practices as defined in Commandant Instruction Manual CIM 13020.1 (series) utilizing the Asset Computerized Maintenance system (ACMS), Asset Logistics Management Information System (ALMIS), and Asset Maintenance Management Information System (AMMIS))
- Experience creating and maintaining schedules using Microsoft Project and Visio
- Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times a day
- Willing and able to travel for a week at a time, including weekends
- Compliance with Executive Order 14042 , FAR 52.223-99 clause (Ensuring Adequate COVID -19 Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors) required (proof required)
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience
- Depot-level environment experience developing sustainment strategies for aircraft upgrades
- Completion of AQN 101 Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition, LOG 1000 Life Cycle Logistics Fundamentals, and SAP 100 Simplified Acquisition Procedures desired prior to start date, or successful completion of all courses required within 3 months of hire
- Experience with lifecycle sustainment, material management, and long range planning for operation and maintenance of new aircraft systems
- Experienced user of AMMIS
- Scheduling experience (ie – Visio, MS Project)
- Writing reports and supporting graphics and metrics
- Previous experience working in and/or knowledge of the USCG Asset Project Office
- Someone with an understanding of strategic and tactical supply planning
