Application Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for an Application Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. Our Application Infrastructure Engineer will help create the infrastructure for a unique machine learning platform running on Kubernetes. They will build and maintain development and testing pipelines, support and enhance developer tooling and environments in Windows, Linux and MacOS. The person filling this position must have a broad set of system administration skills on Linux and at least one cloud environment like AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Responsibilities

• Work with the rest of the engineering team expanding and maintaining the application infrastructure.
• Research and identify solutions to software installation and configuration issues
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including account setup, networking, installation and configuration
• Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
• Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
• Refer to internal database or external resources to provide accurate tech solutions
• Ensure all issues are properly logged
• Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
• Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Cloud Application Engineer, Cloud DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong practical skills in modern build automation systems
• Experience of web servers, databases, message queues and other infrastructure fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
• Strong understanding of Linux, Kubernetes, Bash, Python
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• Additional certification in Microsoft, Linux, AWS, or similar technologies is a plus
