We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Group Manager within the Installations Team to oversee the successful planning, installation, and commissioning of Energy and IoT solutions for Ndustrial’s clients.

The Installations Team is responsible for designing, pricing, installation, and testing of all physical infrastructure required to support the scope of work defined by the Energy Advisory Team at our customer’s industrial facilities.   In this role, you will support project development during the sales process, collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions, develop project scope, provide budget estimates, hire subcontractors and oversee on-site field installations. Additionally, you will build, manage, and develop a team of installation specialists to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in industrial controls and systems, project management, and cost tracking. You will be comfortable working in an evolving and growing team, managing small and large scale projects and be able to jump in and roll up your sleeves to facilitate installations when needed. You will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, internal stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure the seamless execution of projects on behalf of Ndustrial domestically and internationally.

This person will ideally be local to our Raleigh, NC office, however we are open to remote depending on skills and experience relative to the needs of the role and encourage remote applicants to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to extract data from industrial sites and systems, aligning with the requirements of our scope of work
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee the installation of infrastructure to ensure that the timeline, budget and quality standards are met
  • End to end management of the physical installation at one or more sites during the Deployment Phase of a customer engagement
  • Create and document best practices for data integration and facility control in collaboration with our backend integration team
  • Facilitate the automation of demand response at industrial facilities through effective strategies and tactics
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and technology providers to accurately scope and estimate project costs
  • Ensure program goals and deliverables are met, tracking progress and maintaining documentation
  • Lead and expand a team of integrators and industrial controls specialists across national locations
  • Interpret engineering drawings, including P&ID, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Floorplans
  • Review solution concept schematics and content, incorporating them into proposals and presentations
  • Create and review installation, testing, and commissioning plans for Ndustrial solutions
  • Finalize and sign off on all of the necessary equipment installations, commissioned work is properly communicating with Ndustrial’s platform and all of the required closeout documentation has been completed and accepted by the customer

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years global experience in Industrial Controls Engineering, ideally in the manufacturing, logistics, transportation, warehousing, cold storage, food and beverage, oil and gas, or chemicals verticals
  • Ability to travel to client sites up to 50% initially
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to work very well with client leadership and facilities personnel
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations
  • Self­-starter, team player, with ability to bring alternate points of view to the discussion and analysis
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Solid technical writing skills
  • Solid mathematical aptitude
  • Project cost estimating experience
  • Proven record of excellent customer service

Nice to have experience or background:

  • Experience with industrial refrigeration
  • Energy solutions experience including metering, energy efficiency, GHG reporting, distributed energy resources
  • Utility (electric, gas, water) bills, tariffs, rate structures
