Job Opportunity: Process Control and Systems Engineer at a Leading Global Manufacturer

We are seeking a seasoned Process Control/Systems Engineer to enhance our high-speed manufacturing operations through expert management and innovation in control systems and automation. This role serves as a critical link between our global automation strategies and day-to-day operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and optimize our Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring effective troubleshooting, system modifications, and maintenance.
• Act as a subject matter expert in resolving system issues, upgrading equipment, and maintaining alignment with automation standards across multiple sites.
• Manage and execute control system projects, from conceptualization through to implementation, ensuring they meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Analyze system performance, identify issues, and implement strategic solutions to improve operations and efficiency.
• Facilitate communication and training with technicians to ensure compliance with updated procedures and system changes.
• Develop operational objectives that support broader corporate goals.
• Supervise external contractors, manage vendor relations, negotiate pricing, and oversee the integration of new technologies or upgrades.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in Process or Controls Engineering, particularly using Siemens DCS and PLC automation systems.
• Proficiency with Siemens PCS7, Step 7, WinCC Server, TIA Portal, and relevant programming languages.
• Strong capability in troubleshooting PID loops, variable speed drives, and control systems.
• Knowledge of Profibus, industrial networks, safety instrumented systems, and cybersecurity principles.
• Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $50,000 and familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
