REEDS Jewelers is excited to post this important position to join our leadership team!
The REEDS director of learning and development will oversee the identification of needs, development of curriculum and delivery of various educational and training materials / opportunities for all of REEDS. Partnering with functional leaders and brand partners, the director will calendar and budget the required training utilizing both online and classroom learning experiences.
The position entails identifying and implementing a variety of training methodologies to support a diverse workforce per the requirements of all corporate stakeholders. This position also requires an ability to interact as a business partner with a broad array of outside vendors and their training requirements.
The position will utilize the REEDS’ learning management system and other communication tools to support the development, delivery, and measurement of the performance of all associates. This position requires travel to interact with employees and vendors to develop and enhance our employee and customer experience.

This position is based out of the beautiful coastal city of Wilmington, NC, at our corporate headquarters. Relocation assistance is available.

Requirements
- Jewelry and/or Luxury Goods experience is highly preferred and best suited for a smooth transition
- Prior learning and development experience in a corporate setting with examples of implementation of learning modules and measured success.
- Ability to assess, develop, implement, measure, and edit a variety of synchronous and asynchronous learning methods.
- Proficient in managing learning management systems, inclusive of developing content, while negotiating, and managing vendor relations.
- Strong public speaking skills in large and small groups.
- Positive interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written skills.
- Proficient understanding and utilization of all Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related learning and development field. Willing to substitute prior learning and development experience. Previous training and facilitation experience can be leveraged for success in this position.
- Ability to travel as job requirements dictate. 50 % of time
- Ability to lift 30lbs as necessary.
