Our Inventory Logistics Supervisor provides supervision in the receiving, categorizing, processing and distribution of customer/store damaged, trade-in and break-out merchandise.
With superior leadership, the Inventory Logistics Supervisor will train and ensure efficient, timely and accurate administration of merchandise shipments and processing by all mail room associates.
This is a fast-paced department and includes shipping/receiving of merchandise and U.S. Postal Service/UPS/ Federal Express insurance claims, in a manner that assures the highest level of customer service by exceeding customer expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise Inventory, MRE, Receiving/Distribution and Mail room associates and ensure mail room duties are fulfilled in accordance to company and vendor requirements, U.S. Customs laws, and insurance policies.
- Create an environment conducive to achieving the highest standards of business ethics and professionalism. Motivate associates, coach, and resolve conflicts to ensure associates are providing superior customer service.
- Assist with the supervision of projects for team associates to ensure efficient operation while anticipating and resolving potential problems.
- Responsible for the efficient operation of merchandise returns: review non-plu trade-ins and breakout merchandise for management approval.
- Respond to store inquiries, research and identify untagged merchandise; create transfer documents to distribute merchandise to and from the corporate office and store locations.
- Responsible for following security policies to ensure merchandise is protected.
- Review merchandise for quality issues. Recommend efficient processes to handle any irregularities.
- Partner with other corporate departments and stores to provide timely assistance and perform other duties as directed by the Inventory Manager/Director.
- Assist with year-end inventory reconciliation.
- Receives, sorts and assists in the daily collection and distribution of in-coming and out-going mail. Provides assistance in unloading deliveries.
- Responsible for the supervision of timely, accurate and efficient merchandise distributions and accompanying documents to the stores and vendor returns for immediate credit.
- Supervises the daily corporate bank deposits, pick-up and delivery of materials from the three local stores, corporate law office and other destinations as directed by Inventory Manager/Director.
- Responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of corporate sanitation/mail room and general maintenance supplies, e.g. light bulbs, ceiling tiles. Provides general maintenance at the corporate office. Ensure mailroom facilities are clean and free of work place hazards.
- Ensure the mailroom partners and assists other departments in making boxes, distribution of promotional materials and other duties as directed by the Inventory Manager/Director.
- Assist in daily management of inventory as directed by Inventory Control Manager/Director.
- Supervise the Inventory, Memo and Costing Associates in an environment conducive to achieving the highest standards of business ethics and professionalism. Motivate associates, coach and resolve conflicts to ensure associates are providing superior customer service.
- Provide on-call store support as required by Inventory Manager/Director.
- Responsible for the coordination, instruction and implementation of all year-end and manager change physical inventories. Maintain store schedules for inventories ensuring adequate store and home office staff to produce the highest level of accuracy possible.
- Collaborate with Internal Auditors on investigations and compliance audits.
- Work with the IBM AS400 and J.D. Edwards programmers to identify and correct software deficiencies in the Inventory Control, RCR, RCD, Costing, Memo and MRE programs.
- Evaluate current programs and suggest necessary additions and changes to provide optimum efficiency with an emphasis to future growth and needs.
- Proficient in the tracking of inventory shipments.
- Daily resolution of negative merchandise reports to ensure prompt resolution. Work daily errors from the store’s POS transactions.
- Ensure company assets are being handled in accordance to company policies and procedures.
- Report all performance issues to Inventory Manager/Director for appropriate resolution.
- Answer the telephones in a professional manner, which assures the highest level of customer services that exceeds customer expectations.
- Conducts business affairs in a legal and ethical manner, building a socially conscious environment.

Requirements
Position Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or Higher recommended
- Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays
- Requires overnight travel including some weekends
- Must have proven written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership, supervision and teamwork abilities
- Inventory, purchasing, distribution, and computer experience
Essential Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand up to 90% of the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform light housekeeping duties
- Must be able to perform repetitive physical tasks including preparing boxes for shipment, breaking down boxes for trash or storage, and moving boxes of merchandise.
- Vision and hearing necessary to perform required tasks
