Requirements
To manage the regional logistic operations in the NAFTA region covering all inbound shipments, customs, outbound shipments, storage and the control of the packaging material portfolio.
- Organize the logistic department according to Envalior’s overall logistics policy and plan, and manage the daily operations
- Contribute to the execution of the logistics policy and plans of the unit, as member of the logistics team
- Develop and implement optimized and advanced logistics systems and procedures, in line with overall developments in the supply chain process
- Ensure that the SHEQ management system is in place and complied with, and create a safe and healthy work environment
- Propose and work within the department budget, monitor and control expenses and report periodically
- Ensure an optimal work environment and manage work department to ensure are promoting the Envalior culture and values. • Deliver (synergy) savings within Envalior by way of contributions towards regional productivity target and continue to lead continuous improvement efforts to lead to future additional savings on top of aforementioned synergy effect. Identify potential savings for the following year in the Pipeline tool.
- Overseeing duty drawback program with external service providers. Overseeing import/export brokerage relationship. Oversee monthly performance reviews of contracted 3PL to ensure all internal KPI’s are being met. FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY Page 2 of 2 November 5, 2015 For Internal Use Only
- Oversee the process standardization within Logistics and Trade & Compliances functions and also ensuring it fits with the global process standard. Key responsibilities:
- Manage the scheduling and tracking of inbound raw materials and all outbound traffic of finished goods from shipping point to destination. Notify appropriate Envalior personnel of shipment delays and/or early deliveries as required by the sales organization.
- Support supply negotiations with all related service providers, including transportation carriers, warehousing service providers, and 3PL partners, to ensure best price to Envalior along with adherence to strict supply conditions. Monitor and publish the outside service provider’s adherence to those supply conditions on a monthly basis.
- Serve as the Supply Chain Management contact for Logistics Operations between functional areas within the organization, outside suppliers, and global Envalior counterparts to achieve effective working relationships, both internally and externally.
- Functional liaison for LATAM/Mexico region.
- Ensure we have the lowest cost warehousing costs possible in the Envalior USA warehousing network, while providing the best service levels possible. Ensure we have the most optimal warehouse performance within the region and continue to deliver lowest possible costs while ensuring maximum service levels.
- Responsible for optimizing the North America warehouse network within Envalior.
- Serve as a global resource for the region related to intercompany coordination and supply chain best practices.
- Keep organization informed of macro Supply Chain related trends.
- Research and analyze data to identify market trends to maximize cost and efficiency opportunities.
- Maintain, manage, and approve performance measures for the function to provide ongoing and elevated standards.
- Responsible for directing physical distribution activities at third party distribution facilities.
- Complies with all position requirements as defined in Envalior’s internal control, quality system and SHE requirements, policies and procedures.
- Performs special projects and related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate:
- 5 years of management experience required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in both transportation planning, preferred with specific knowledge of freight rate structures (including RAIL) as well as warehousing and distribution functions within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Supply chain operational theories and methodologies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is preferred; Master’s degree most preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of warehousing inventory control and distribution/transportation practices.
- A thorough understanding of the applicable U.S. customs policies, practices, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Prior 6 Sigma and SAP experience preferred
- Unionized, 24/7/365 facility manufacturing environment experience preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Previous SAP experience
- APICs certification or equivalent preferred
- USMCA / NAFTA trade and compliance experience is highly preferred.
