Full Job Description
Mechanical Technicians are responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and overhaul of mechanical systems used in the production at Ipex.
Key Responsibilities
Safety First! Must maintain a safe and clean work environment through training, adherence to policies and housekeeping
Check equipment and operating systems for accuracy and efficiency wherever vital
Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at the highest quality
Resolve motor, pump, electrical, and hydraulic issues
Show expertise in working with team and independently
Repair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards
Use hand tools like power tools and rigging equipment daily
Handle minor and sophisticated heavy industrial equipment like saws, pullers and bellers
Align with company and customer regulations and policies
Bring and maintain tools for the job
Work all shifts flexibly when job demands
Work independently to complete the job safely and effectively
Minimum 18 years of age
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE
· Mechanical — Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Advanced knowledge of hand and power tools.
· Building and Construction — Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
· Safety — Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures, including lock-out tag-out processes, fall protection, hot work, PPE usage, and forklifts.
· Measuring Devices — Knowledge of measuring devices, documentation, and device selection.
SKILLS
· Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
· Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
· Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
· Coordination — Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.
· Equipment Selection — Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
· Complex Problem Solving — Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
· Operations Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
