Masa Mixer - 3rd Shift

Our Home is looking to grow our loyal and driven team and are currently seeking a masa mixer to join our team of manufacturing professionals on third shift. Our masa mixer's typical schedule will work Monday - Friday 11PM - 7AM. The main responsibility of the masa mixer is to prepare the main ingredients necessary to produce our final products. This position must monitor the machines to make sure the product is produced to meet and exceed industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Load bags of masa flour into masa mixer.
• Inspect and load grinding stones into grinding machine.
• Load buckets with masa from masa mixer or corn grinder.
• Follow formulas to add correct amount of water and other ingredients to the masa mix.
• Alternate with oven operator, as needed
• Bring products from warehouse as needed to continue mixing process.
• Help relieve or assist packing rooms operations as directed by Supervisor/Managers.
• Maintain area clean and place trash for waste in proper containers.
• Assist corn cook on lifting corn waste buckets.
• Record correct lot numbers, quantity and time of masa for each batch.
• Perform cleaning and sanitation process during weekly clean up.
• Monitor production as to not have excessive waste at the end of a production order.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position
• Perform any other duties as required by Plant Manager or Supervisor.

Requirements

• 1 - 2 years working in a production or food manufacturing facility
• Requires basic reading, writing and math skills.​

• Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment
• Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a warm/humid environment
• Must be able to work off shifts and be flexible with scheduling.
