About us
The Ammortal chamber brings together multiple scientifically backed technologies to one experience. It is a healing technology that can be utilized by wellness clinics and inside the home. Our clients include specialty spas and clinics, sports teams, and individuals who are biohackers or athletes.
We are a small team with a startup culture. After our first full years shipping a finished product on the market, we have shown strong growth. Our team is made up of engineers, health professionals, and startup entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities:
- Continued maintenance of existing engineering assets (updating mechanical and electrical prints, clarification and support for vendors making our parts, CAD data management)
- Creating and Drafting new mechanical designs with input from Director of Product Development
- Working with Development team to accommodate audio and control systems hardware
- Research and develop new programmatic features for use in the Chamber Product
- Own and execute the prototyping of new Chamber hardware and participate in systems integration with other teams
- Work with Spark Robotic to leverage on-site manufacturing capabilities as it relates to the production of our products
Who this person is
- Experienced with mechanical design using weldments, folded sheet metal, CNC machining, 3D Printing, and other similar manufacturing technologies
- Familiar with the challenges that Operations would face when assembling their design
Requirements
What technical knowledge do you need to perform in your role?
- CAD package such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion360 or similar
- Asana or similar project management software
Qualifications (Must haves):
- 1.5+ years of professional experience in mechanical engineering
- CNC milling experience
- Sheet metal design experience
- Fabrication process experience
Qualifications (Nice to haves):
- Experience working on a product with a hardware-software connection
- Experience with the ‘design for manufacture’ process
- Electromechanical design experience
- Controls engineering experience (PLC design, system automation)

Benefits
Pay, Location, Hours
Pay range: $90,000 - $110,000
As a generalization, if you have 1.5-2 years of experience, you may expect to receive an offer on the lower end of this range. If you have 3-4 years of experience, you may expect to receive an offer on the higher end of this range
Benefits: 75% of health insurance covered
Location: Asheville, NC
Hours: 9-5 Monday - Friday typically, but flexible schedule in that we don’t measure time.
