Payroll Specialist
Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage the payroll process, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will be responsible for processing payroll data, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and experience with payroll software.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain and update employee records related to payroll, including new hires, changes, and terminations
- Verify hours worked and address any discrepancies
- Manage payroll deductions, including taxes and benefits
- Prepare and submit payroll reports and tax filings
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Assist with year-end reporting and audits
- Continuously improve payroll processes and implement best practices
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and tax laws
- Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
