JupiterOne is a cyber asset attack surface management (CAASM) platform company providing visibility and security into your entire cyber asset universe. Using graphs and relationships, JupiterOne provides a contextual knowledge base for an organization's cyber asset operations. With JupiterOne, teams can discover, monitor, understand, and act on changes in their digital environments. Cloud resources, ephemeral devices, identities, access rights, code, pull requests, and much more are collected, graphed, and monitored automatically.
As a Platform Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be combining your software and systems engineering experience to help our software engineers build and architect distributed systems. You'll be tasked with defining patterns for how we use cloud infrastructure, managing how GraphQL and REST APIs are served, and improving our overall system reliability. Finally, we want you to be comfortable speaking up, identifying problems, and offering suggestions on how we all can improve.

What you will do:
- Act as a subject matter expert in backend architecture patterns, AWS services, and software library management.
- Expand internal SDKs to cover common patterns and drive adoption across teams.
- Standardize network infrastructure across environments, ensuring security and observability.
- Develop and maintain reusable infrastructure components to enforce best practices AWS resource utilization.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and the incident response process, continuously improving processes and tools.
- Develop and maintain tools to enhance reliability, security, and performance of the platform.
Requirements
Who you are:
- Experience developing and maintaining public-facing APIusing languages like NodeJS, Python, Java, Golang, or Rust.
- Expertise in creating internal libraries to implement patterns like reliable queuing, caching, etc.
- Proficient in building Terraform modules, Helm charts, or similar tools to streamline the use of complex platforms like AWS or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of core network infrastructure that supports communication between services.
- Experience monitoring and responding to alerts to ensure system health and stability.
- Proven ability to serve as a technical expert in designing scalable backend systems.
