Toyota Tsusho Systems US, Inc. (TTS-US) is a Toyota group company, that develops IT solutions and provides technical services to Toyota group company. TTS-US is seeking a Technical Project Manager who can analyze, plan, and implement various technical projects for clients. The position will closely collaborate with the business and technical team to plan and implement project objectives.
We are seeking a skilled Production Plant Floor Analyst to join our team at TBMNC plant. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in production plant operations, a deep understanding of production process flows, proficiency in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for plant floor operations, and excellent documentation skills. The candidate must also demonstrate proficiency in software tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and LucidChart. The role requires onsite presence at the TBMNC plant and will at least run through the startup of lines one, two, three, and four. Work location would be Liberty, North Carolina.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. **Production Plant Floor Experience:**
- Demonstrate practical experience and knowledge of plant floor operations.
- Execute tasks related to production processes, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing workflows.
2. **Understanding of Production Process Flows:**
- Analyze and comprehend the intricacies of production process flows within the plant environment.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement in the production processes.
3. **Development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):**
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop relevant KPIs for plant floor operations.
- Implement mechanisms to measure, track, and report on KPIs effectively.
4. **Documentation Skills:**
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation related to production processes, procedures, and KPI metrics.
- Prepare reports, manuals, and other relevant documentation as necessary.
5. **Proficiency in Software Tools:**
- Utilize Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, LucidChart, Tableau & PowerBI to create presentations, data analysis reports, process flow diagrams, and other visual aids.
- Ability to extract, analyze, and present data effectively using these software tools.
6. **Data Ingestion:**
-Design, develop, and maintain efficient data ingestion pipelines into PostgreSQL databases.
-Implement data validation, transformation, and normalization processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
-Monitor data ingestion jobs for performance, reliability, and scalability.
7. **Firewall Request Support:**
-Coordinate firewall rule requests and implementations to facilitate secure data transfer and access.
-Collaborate with network security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
-Troubleshoot firewall-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
8. **Production Engineering Collaboration:**
-Work closely with production engineering teams to understand data requirements and optimize data ingestion workflows.
-Participate in cross-functional meetings to align data ingestion processes with system architecture and performance goals.
-Provide technical expertise and support to enhance the reliability and scalability of production systems.
9. **Infrastructure Team Interaction:**
-Collaborate with infrastructure teams to provision and manage resources required for data ingestion and database operations.
-Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure optimization efforts to meet evolving data processing needs.
10. **Onsite Presence at TBMNC Plant:**
- Maintain regular onsite presence at the TBMNC plant to collaborate with plant personnel (mainly PE) and document operational concerns.
- Attend morning and afternoon PE update meetings.
- Work closely with plant managers and engineers to ensure seamless coordination and implementation of production strategies by integrating with IT technologies.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in production plant floor operations.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing KPIs for production environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Database and coding experience.
-Exposure to OT applications (Including SCADA, PLCs, and other technology)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
- Prior experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
