Full Job Description
- Deliver quality assured calculation models and results and propose where/when to perform specific simulation and analysis .
- Draw conclusions and make recommendations using control systems and function simulation and analyses.
- Perform analyses and deliver validated results with respect to design targets.
- Support continuous improvement of methods and tools.
- Act as technical expert for his/her discipline.
- Plan, lead and perform high complex simulations/analyses.
- Take responsibility for the fidelity of the simulations/analyses.
- Support project and design engineers in all stages of projects for technical solutions on varied complex level.
- Initiate and lead worldwide network.
- Drive innovation through collaboration with universities and external institutes or in-house developed tools.
- Make others engaged in innovation.
- Drive method and tool development globally.
- Train and mentor less experienced Simulation & Analysis Engineers globally.
- Provide input to Product and System Roadmaps.
- Perform project content evaluation and estimation in order to meet timeline and delivery.
- Perform method and tool development.
- Conduct technical research, post-process and analyze CFD results, write engineering reports and provide design recommendations to identify and rectify potential design issue, and improve existing designs
- Own the analysis until there is an acceptable outcome from all project stake-holders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks using analytical and critical thinking skills
Requirements
On Associate level applies theoretical knowledge typically obtained through education (position typically requires 0-2 years relevant experience).
Applies knowledge to the world of work:

- Getting to know the business, understanding the ways of working and the group and TD/BA culture
- Learning about product streams and the contribution of his/her work within this as well as the lifelong learning expectations in the group, TD/Bas
- Empowered to perform and make a valueadding contribution to the assigned TD/BA asap with the benefit of ongoing support and supervision
- Conduct CFD analysis of components, sub-systems (e.g: heat exchangers, exhaust systems, air intake systems etc.) and complete vehicle under-hood thermal simulations
Qualifications:
• Masters Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with experience in CFD. Experience in automotive cooling airflow, thermal management and aerodynamics is considered a plus.
• Strong background in fundamentals of fluid dynamics, heat transfer and thermodynamics
• Experience with geometry cleanup skills in a commercial CAE pre-processing tool (e.g. ANSA, HyperMesh etc.) and building fully detailed CFD models for complex analysis types
• Experienced in use of commercial CFD software such as PowerFLOW, StarCCM or Fluent, and TaiTherm
• Experienced with Linux OS and use of HPC systems for submitting and monitoring CAE jobs
• Experience in shell/linux scripting to automate repetitive tasks is a plus
