Shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday
Job Summary
Quality Inspectors perform quality assurance duties as assigned helping to assure all products meet or exceed customer requirements. This includes (but is not limited to) wax batch approvals, sampling/inspection of incoming components; sampling/inspection of in-process production; sampling/inspection of finished goods at pack-out; and/or sampling/inspection of finished goods in inventory against standards. Responsibilities also include collecting and entering inspection results and/or other information in logs (paper and/or computer), and other duties and tasks as assigned. In addition, they assist the QA management with data collection activities and projects. Seasonal position.
Job Functions
- Monitor and report on the quality of candle components (wax, wick, glass, labels, packaging, etc.)
- Monitor and report on the quality of in-process candle production (wax, wick, fill weights, wick centering, labeling, cleanliness, etc.) against standard operating procedures
- Monitor and report on the quality of finished candles at pack-out against customer requirements
- Monitor and report on candle performance (zero-cure burns, other burns & testing)
- Help keep the expected performance standards visible to all production and QA personnel

Range of Experience Required
At least 1year as an inspector or similar position in which the individual was required to monitor and report on quality attributes of some product and/or process
Education Level Required (minimum degree)
High school or equivalent
Additional Abilities Valuable for Success
- Able to comfortably perform basic math & dimensional/time measurement
- Able to use hand-held tools (rulers, gauges, etc.) to perform inspections
- Able to use computers (MS Office) to do basic data entry in spread sheets, databases and paper records
Physical Demands & Work Environment

The employee may be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and aromas. The employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
