We currently publish books and magazines and have an expansive vision of providing impactful information and sharing meaningful stories empowering people to live healthy, sustainable lives - with a focus on community- getting back to people helping each other. We are a small, tight-knit team that is looking to grow a company who not only brings homestead knowledge, but brings people together and makes a lasting impact as a company.

JOB BRIEF

As a Sales Representative for Homestead Living, Plain Values and Plain Pages, you will be the first point of contact for our potential advertising partnerships. You will play a vital role in building and maintaining relationships with these partners for years to come, ensuring they’re satisfaction and repeat business. Your focus will be to sell advertising for our publications.

  • 40 hours per week, full-time role.
  • M-F availability for 8 hours per day.
  • Base Salary + commission.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify potential clients among both large corporate and regional small businesses.
  • Utilize market research and industry insights to pre-qualify leads effectively.
  • Present and demonstrate the value of Homestead Living's advertising solutions to potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients through regular communication and excellent service.
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets by employing strategic selling techniques.
  • Create comprehensive and visually appealing proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Craft clear and concise correspondence, emails, and other written materials.
  • Develop engaging presentations that effectively showcase the benefits of our advertising offerings.
  • Generate detailed reports summarizing sales activities, client interactions, and results achieved.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging and collateral with client needs.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build and nurture a network of contacts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay current with advertising strategies and techniques.
  • Seek feedback and mentorship to continuously enhance sales skills and performance.
  • Create and maintain your personal CRM to track sales performance and relationships.

Requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in sales.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and generating client-centric solutions
  • Self-motivated with a goal-driven attitude
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Exceptional, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of surpassing sales goals
  • Ability to travel regularly for strategic accounts, networking events, conferences, trade shows, etc.
