Job Summary:
Our Application Engineer provides comprehensive technical support to customers and acts as a key liaison between customers and the company by providing practical solutions to their hole-making needs.
This is a non-remote position, and is required to work in our Dover, Ohio location.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Offer technical assistance to customers, addressing inquiries, and providing guidance on product usage.
- Recommend and customize products or services to meet unique customer requirements.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, working to find effective and timely solutions.
- Collaborate with sales teams, product development, and other departments to enhance customer support.
- Maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, configurations, and technical support provided.
- Provide training to customers on product usage, ensuring effective and informed use.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities:
- Strong technical aptitude with in-depth knowledge of the company's products and their applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Collaboration and teamwork, working closely with different departments to address customer needs.
- Presentation skills for conducting technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to document customer interactions and product configurations.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies.
Education/Experience:
- Associate degree in engineering or a related field (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Understanding of manufacturing and measurement processes.
Physical Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-site visits.
- Ability to lift up to 32 pounds unassisted.
