Full Job Description
The Associate Media Connections Planner provides support to the media team to ensure that all media plans and connections strategies are executed timely and accurately. In addition, this individual assists with daily operations of client projects. This requires working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to gather relevant inputs, answer key questions and provide input to media plans. In addition, the Associate Media Connections Planner will provide ongoing education on the ever-changing media world to clients and internal audiences. Our ideal candidate is a well- organized, detail-oriented person with the ability to multi-task, and manage deadlines, budgets and timelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Works with internal and client teams to develop strategic recommendations for connecting a brand to their audience(s)
- Stays abreast of ongoing media landscape changes and is able to articulate those changes to the team. Utilizes research tools to provide consumer and competitive insights and recommendations.
- Assists team members with insertion orders, broadcast avails and media discrepancies
- Responsible for execution of digital ad campaigns including display ad tracking and
- reconciliation
- Helps coordinate and maintain internal project flow
- Provides thought leadership and education to both clients and internal audiences
- Ensures fiscal accuracy of all media buys
- Manages paid social programs
- Gathers data for metrics/analytics and digital reporting
- Accurately produces and maintains reporting and information delivery mechanisms
- Identifies anomalies, meaningful data events and trends for further analysis
- Demonstrates ability to reliably support multiple clients
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:
- Has 1-2 years of relevant media experience
- Demonstrated drive and passion for uncovering and identifying connection points – no
- matter the medium
- Uses a creative approach to solving marketing challenges
- Ability to take initiative and assume responsibility, consistently meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Holds superb organizational and communication skills
- Skill set includes excellent proofreading skills, attention to detail, flexibility and follow-
- through
- Desire to understand and provide insights from campaign data
- Able to manage others and will have the skills required for effective communication and delegation of tasks
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Nielsen, Arbitron, MRI, Scarborough and Kantar
- BS/BA Business Management, Marketing, Communications or related fields
