Maintenance Technician

Banyan Living is a dynamic growing company that owns and operates several luxury apartment homes in the greater Cleveland and Columbus metropolitan areas.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and upkeep of the property buildings and grounds in a supportive role. You will report to the Property Manager and work closely with other team members to ensure the maintenance needs of our properties are met.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
• Maintain the grounds and assist the groundskeeper as needed
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy
• Care for and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Ensure the proper operation of appliances, heating and cooling units, and light fixtures
• Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
• Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repair work
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and guidelines
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices through continuous learning and professional development

Requirements

• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
• Strong technical skills in maintenance and repair
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety practices
