Join our forward-thinking Automation & Digitalization team in Eugene, OR, as a Project Engineer specializing in Electrical & Controls Engineering. We're on the lookout for a visionary engineer passionate about crafting state-of-the-art electrical and control solutions that boost productivity, enhance reliability, and promote sustainability for our North American Mill clientele.
In this role, you'll:
- Forge dynamic partnerships with clients and team members to address operational hurdles and spearhead system enhancements.
- Conduct thorough audits of industrial environments, laying the groundwork for electrical and control system advancements with your preliminary designs and estimates.
- Create cutting-edge designs for low and medium voltage industrial power systems, encompassing everything from equipment specifications to the intricacies of electrical room layouts.
- Lead the development of comprehensive tender and construction documentation, including detailed electrical and instrumentation schematics and specifications.
- Innovate control strategies that elevate system performance, along with programming and configuring DCS and PLC/HMI applications for optimal operation.
- Oversee the meticulous execution of system testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Requirements
What you bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical or Automation Engineering, with P.E. certification being a distinct advantage.
- A proven track record in industrial automation, with skills in DCS programming and familiarity with FactoryTalk and Rockwell Suite highly regarded.
- Experience in the pulp & paper, mining, or chemical sectors will set you apart.
- An independent, goal-oriented mindset complemented by a capacity for effective teamwork.
- Hands-on experience with site audits, commissioning, construction, and startup processes.
- Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Legal eligibility to work in the US.
- A readiness to travel to client sites within the region, embracing the opportunity to impact projects directly.
