Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Project Manager for our client in Wilsonville, OR. As a Geotechnical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
You will work closely with a team of engineers, geologists, and technicians to ensure the successful delivery of projects, which may include infrastructure development, foundation design, slope stability analysis, and soil testing.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage geotechnical projects, overseeing field exploration, lab services, and engineering analyses.
- Prepare and review proposals and reports, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
- Provide construction consultation, oversee observations, and inspections.
- Develop investigation scopes and proposals, considering client goals and industry standards.
- Coordinate field investigations and environmental sampling, interpreting data and generating reports.
- Conduct studies, evaluations, and investigations for projects, coordinating laboratory test data.
- Apply engineering techniques and professional judgment to project tasks.
- Perform construction materials testing as needed, such as nuclear gauge testing.
- Maintain client relationships, identify project opportunities, and manage projects from start to finish.
- Travel may be required to collaborate with other NV5 offices.
Requirements
- Preferably, hold a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Possess a PE license in Oregon and/or Washington, or have the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire.
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic geotechnical software such as LPILE, FB-DEEP, SPW911, SETTL3D, and SLOPE/W, with skills in geotechnical numerical modeling being advantageous.
- Exhibit strong technical writing abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, think creatively, and solve problems.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, teamwork, and client management skills.
