Full Job Description
- Interface with engineering and application engineers to define product specifications.
- Research and select components to achieve appropriate functionality
- Develop PCB and FPGA designs to implement the desired functionality.
- Interface with Firmware, Mechanical, and other Electrical engineers to achieve product goals
- Interaction and guidance to SMT assembly and production assembly / testing
- Learn about legacy products and assist production, support, and sales.
- Document design specifications, BOM’s, ECO’s, and process instructions.
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience:
- BSEE with 5+ years electronic product development.
- Digital and analog PCB circuit design.
- PCB layout, Mentor and/or Cadence
- Multiple clock domain FPGA implementation and debugging, Verilog and VHDL, Xilinx, Lattice
- PCB prototype debugging, using standard test equipment
- Interactive ECAD / MCAD design
- Production failure analysis
- Regulatory compliance (FCC, CE, UL, etc)
Bonus Points for Experience with:
- CMOS imagers / vision processing
- RF modules / protocols (eg., 802.15.4)
- Inertial Measurement Units
- Ethernet, PoE, USB, I2C, SPI
- High power LED strobes
- LTspice
- Microcontroller and peripheral programming
