We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven National Sales Manager to join our dynamic team for our B2B - commercial restaurant and appliances business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of extensive experience in wholesales, mass merchandising, and distribution, with a proven track record of success in driving sales growth. The National Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing effective sales strategies, managing a high-performing sales team, and fostering key relationships within the commercial restaurant and appliances industry.
Requirements
Main Responsibilities/Functions:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share objectives.
- Conduct market analysis and stay abreast of industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall company objectives.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Motivate, and manage a national sales team, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and team success.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.
Distribution and Mass Merchandising:
- Oversee and optimize the distribution network, ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key mass merchandising partners, negotiating favorable terms and agreements.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure product placement and visibility at retail locations.
Wholesale Relationship Management:
- Manage existing wholesale accounts and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Develop strong relationships with key wholesale partners, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper credit terms and account management.
Nationwide Market Expansion:
- Work closely with teams across the states to explore and expand sales opportunities.
- Identify and evaluate potential distributors and partners in new regions.
Agency Collaboration:
- Leverage previous agency experience to collaborate effectively with external agencies for marketing and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with agencies to develop impactful campaigns that drive brand awareness and sales.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the commercial restaurant or appliances industry, wholesales, mass merchandising, and distribution.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with a history of successful partnerships.
- Experience in working with external agencies for marketing initiatives.
