UCP is currently seeking an Office Manager who will work Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm.
This is a great job for you if you like a fun and casual atmosphere. You’ll also need to enjoy multi-tasking, solving problems on the fly, and interacting with lots of different kinds of people, such as the folks we support, our employees, and the other people who drop by our office on a daily basis. Our office is located in NE Portland, near NE 102nd and Burnside.
Duties:
- Provide administrative support to all departments of Agency.
- Assist with oversight of office operations.
- Provide telephone and walk-in reception, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent relay of information between all parties.
- Provide on-going daily support to directors, managers and supervisors, including assistance with filing, organization, word processing, data entry and special projects as requested.
- Manage inventory, orders, coding, and receiving office and facilities supplies.
- Coordinate maintenance of office equipment and machines.
- Manage UCP computer support with some assistance from an external IT support provider:
- Provide technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Maintain and update office computer systems, networks, and software.
- Manage IT-related projects and vendor relationships.
- Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place.
- Train employees on new technologies and software applications.
- Assist with other administrative projects as needed.

Requirements
- At least two years of office management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Three years of experience performing administrative duties and the proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Excel).
- Experience supervising and leading other employees preferred.
- Strong IT skills, including knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to drive on the job which means that you are at least 18 years old (a requirement of our auto insurance company), have a reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, at least 2 years driving experience, and a relatively clean driving record.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service (in-person and via phone and email) with diverse populations.
- Type a minimum of 25-30 words per minute.
- Be able to pass a reference check and a criminal history background check.
Benefits
- $25.74 to $31.56 DOE. Annual wage increase based on satisfactory performance.
- Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
