Full Job Description
Position Title: Worker’s Compensation/Leave of Absence Technician
Location: Monmouth, OR (with occasional travel to all counties we provide services)
Type of Position: Full-time (40 hours/week), Regularly Scheduled, hourly. Will include occasional evenings and weekends
Starting Wages/Benefits: $19.50/hour. Benefits include Paid Leave, Health, Vision, Dental, Life, Retirement
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Preference for candidates with HR Certification or ongoing education in Human Resources or a related field.
Experience Preferences:
- 1 - 2 years of experience in Human Resources or as a supervisor.
- Additional preference for those with experience in the field of I/DD.
Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a State/Federal Criminal History Check.
- Pre-employment drug screening (for the use of illegal drugs in Oregon).
- Background screening, including employment and education history.
- Valid ODL with an insurable driving record.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities:
- Handle Workers’ Compensation claims throughout their life cycle, maintaining full compliance with internal and external quality standards and state-specific regulations.
- Provide assistance and consultation to leadership in hazard assessment, ergonomics, accident investigation, return-to-work, and fitness-for-duty services.
- Play a key role in safety, injury prevention, infection prevention, and safety/wellness committees.
- Administer, analyze, and enforce leave policies and procedures, including leave of absence, sick, holidays, and other types of leave.
- Ensure a thorough understanding of the legal implications of leave policies and administer them professionally and timely.

Additional Duties:
- Administer, manage, and track Employee Accidents and Leaves of Absence processes.
- Provide Employee Accidents and Safety training to team members and supervisors.
- Work with Health Care Providers and team members on modified duty job offers and assignments.
- Maintain OSHA records.
- Active member of the Safety Committee.
- Supervise team members on light duty.
- Collaborate with SAIF on wage subsidies, safe working practices, etc.
- Keep team members and supervisors aware of the status.
- Maintain accurate records of claims and protected leaves in Oregon.
- COVID tracking and follow-up for team members who test positive.
- Assist with payroll as needed.
